05-29-04 "Rusty Nail" (Wilmington, NC)
We had a blast at this show! We played in Charleston, SC the night before, and had not slept...yet! When I booked the gig, the talent buyer told me they were "completely set" on in house PA. I noticed alot of bands played there that shared other venues with us, so I figured it would be fine to use their system instead of ours. When we loaded in, we found a small PA that was well worn, to be very kind, which we had to bring out of a room in the back of the joint. We all had a good laugh, got very scared at the potential for disaster, and shook it off like old pros while getting ready for sound check. The night was a success, and I AM GLAD TO SAY...we finally got some sleep much later that night!

Always had a great crowd at this place. "Lamar Jonz" opened for us this night, man they were great! This set also features a rare tune for NTW to cover...Snoop Dog's "Nothin but a G thang" featuring "Josh Tench" as Snoop and "Mike Z. as Jay-Z. Never been a big fan of rap or hip hop myself (anyone who knows me will tell you that!) however, this was fun to play. The jam at the end of it, leads into the next tune. The version of "Mike Song" was also a song not heard at most shows featuring this line-up...enjoy!
